A person suffering from common cold will surely agree that home remedies for cold are effective to an extent to treat and cure cold, nose blockage, sneezing, sore throat and running nose compar to the medicine.

To treat cold make a paste of ginger, clove and salt. Take about half spoon of this home remedy for cold two times in a day to treat and cure cold.

Take around 10 pepper seeds  and  put this pepper over burning coal then fumes will come out. Inhaling this fumes is a good remedy to control the sneezing.

One of the best home remedy for cold is to take dry ginger powder mixed with old Jaggery. This natural remedy is to be taken twice a day to get rid of running nose and cold.

Drinking hot water for the days when you are suffering from cold helps you to overcome running nose and cough.

Roast sesame seeds(black seeds) in ghee and mix them in jaggery. Taking this home remedy for cold will help you treat running and itchy nose especially in winter.

Drinking lukewarm water with honey and lemon juice helps to get rid of cold and running nose.

Take a pinch of Cinnamon (dalchini) powder mixed with a teaspoon of honey to get rid of cold.

Taking half a spoon of ginger juice with a tablespoon of honey helps to cure sore throat and cold.

Intake of garlic in any form assists to get rid of cold and sneezing.

Gargling with warm salt water is an excellent home remedy for cold and sore throat.

Take a pinch of turmeric powder and mix with worm milk. Drinking this milk before going to bed is good remedy for cold.

Take 1 table spoon tulsi juice and mix with 1 table spoon honey. This mixture will work effectively on cold.


When you are suffering from a fever, you would do well to follow a diet that can help you get well soon and from a diet that is easily digestible and absorbed by the body. Here are some suggestions on what to eat when you have a fever:

Those who are suffering with a fever should try to avoid hard-to-digest foods for a while or until they are well. Some of the foods that they should eat include soft boiled eggs, soups, vegetable juices, bread with milk, and steamed vegetables.

Complex food that is hard to digest or have too many spices should be avoided while a person has a fever.

There are many health benefits of lemons that have been known for centuries. The two biggest are lemons’ strong antibacterial, antiviral, and immune-boosting powers and their use as weight loss aid because lemon juice is a digestive aid and liver cleanser. Lemons contain many substance notably citric acid, calcium, magnesium, vitamin C.

Lemon contains citric acid, which can be effective in treating pimples. The vitamin C found in citrus fruits is vital for that healthy glowing skin while its alkaline nature kills some types of bacteria known to cause pimples.

When you have a cold, the healing power of lemons works both internally, by supplying urgently required vitamin C to your defense cells, and externally, through the application of its antiviral properties to the virus on the mucous membranes in the nose and throat.

Lemons can help freshen breath that has gone sour after consuming certain spices, alcohol, cigarettes, or that is caused by insufficient salivation. To keep breath fresh, thoroughly rinse your mouth several times a day with the freshly squeezed juice of 1 lemon in a glass of lukewarm water. Chewing on a lemon slice after every meal will also help.

Drink the juice of 1 freshly squeezed lemon in a glass of lukewarm water after each meal. The lemon acid will stimulate the production of stomach acid and the activity of stomach muscles.

Before taking bath add around 15 to 20 fresh lemon tree leaves to warm water and wait for just 1or 2 minutes. Then take bath with this water. We will feel freshly along with good smell.

Taking 1 table spoon lemon juce by mixing with 1 table spoon honey with worm water as a first drink in moring will help us for weight reducing as well as weight maintaining.

We can use the dried peel  powder of lemon as  a scrub for face cleaning.

Applying fresh lemon juce over sculp  will make us to get relief from dandruff.

In the ancient Ayurveda system of medicine, the pomegranate has extensively been used as a source of traditional remedies for thousands of years. The rind of the fruit and the bark of the pomegranate tree is used as a traditional remedy against diarrhea, dysentery and intestinal parasites.

Pudina is the most traditionally used herb in Ayurveda. It has various health benefits. Ayurvedic physicians recommend pudina leaves and its preparations for indigestion. It has antibacterial and antifibrile properties. Essential oils and menthol are extracted from pudina plant. The oil is an effective treatment for headache, cough, colic and vomiting

 Pudina acts as a good blood cleanser. It is antibacterial and antiseptic. 

Applying pudina leaves paste on the face will reduce the growth of pimples.


 Pudina is an effective remedy for mouth ulcers, swollen gums and toothaches. 

Crushed leaves of pudina are used to treat insect bites. 

 Fresh pudina leaves are crushed and sniffed for relief from dizziness.

 Fresh leaves should be heated on a low flame. Pound the leaves and apply when still warm on the paining joints and muscles. 

Soak 2 tbsp of chopped pudina leaves in hot water for 30 minutes and strain. It is ready to use as a mouthwash.
