When you are suffering from a fever, you would do well to follow a diet that can help you get well soon and from a diet that is easily digestible and absorbed by the body. Here are some suggestions on what to eat when you have a fever:

Those who are suffering with a fever should try to avoid hard-to-digest foods for a while or until they are well. Some of the foods that they should eat include soft boiled eggs, soups, vegetable juices, bread with milk, and steamed vegetables.

Complex food that is hard to digest or have too many spices should be avoided while a person has a fever.

Spicy and hot food should also be avoided when a person is down with a fever.

Green leafy vegetables, fresh fruit, and whole wheat cereals should be part of a person’s diet when he has a fever. Fruits high in vitamin C are important since these help with the healing process.

Try to avoid greasy foods, fried foods, fast-food items and junk foods. Eat only healthy alternatives that will help you get well faster.

Avoid soft drinks and coffee since these are not good for those who have fevers due to the presence of caffeine in them.

Try to avoid outside food and give importance to home made food.

Dont give more stress to body because our body needs rest while suffering with fever.
